The salt has an intense flavour at first, but this quickly diminishes. Blue salt can be added to salt mills and used with seafood or salads. The salt gives a delicate flavour and a unique colour to the food.
Persian blue salt, also known as Persian salt, is a real eye-catcher. Persian blue salt is extracted from salt mines in the Semman province in northern Iran. These are the only salt mines where this salt can be found. This salt is collected by hand. The salt has a rare variety of colours. This is caused by shifts and gaps in the crystal structure that make the salt appear blue. The blue colour is therefore a rare optical effect.
